Rich Nicholas began his career in the financial services industry in 2006 dedicated to building long term relationships with clients founded on the principles of trust, planning and communication. He has over 10 years of experience in providing highly customized advice, implementing investment solutions and risk management tools to attain the goal of accumulation, preservation and perpetuation of wealth. Rich has been featured in New York Magazine from 2014-2016 for being amongst New York City's top wealth managers, an award based on client retention, recommendations, years in practice as well as assets under management.
Upon graduating from Towson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Rich immediately took a position at Smith Barney's wealth management division in Baltimore, MD. In 2007, he decided to move back to his hometown of New York and joined Equitable Advisors LLC, NY Metro Branch where he was instrumental in rolling out a platform of voluntary benefits and sophisticated insurance strategies for New York City's realtors. Equitable Advisors LLC, recognized Rich for annual production as part of their National Leaders Corp.
Rich currently resides in Melville, NY with his wife and daughter. When he is not spending quality time with his family and friends, Rich can be found on the golf course. He has been an avid golfer since the age of 7 and lives by the principles the game of golf has instilled in him including the importance of meeting new people and creating relationships. How honesty, integrity, and respect can go a long way. He is devoted to educating people on how to be prepared for all of life's circumstances and that is his aspiration.
Philanthropy has become one of Rich's greatest passions. He is always looking for a way to give back, especially to families who are less than fortunate. Rich is a proud member of Children International, a nonprofit humanitarian organization where he and his wife have sponsored children to provide support and help them escape the perils of India's poverty stricken areas. He is an active donor to the UJA – Federation, ASPCA as well as the Alliance for Lupus Research where Rich participates in their annual walk to help find a cure.
In 2016, Rich joined Equinox Financial Partners where he continues to focus on comprehensive financial planning for individuals, families, and businesses including a number of New York's most elite real estate brokers. He is dedicated in assisting independent contractors and sole proprietors with their benefits, estate and retirement planning needs. He believes his expertise and ability to interact and share ideas effectively will be a valuable asset to the firm.
